They Shall See Him not Spoken Of Romans 15:21

Paul the apostle prayed for the believers in Rome as he wrote, so have I striven to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation”, and in chapter fifteen and verse twenty-one of Romans, Paul shared how he was, “whom he was not spoken of, they shall see” where we read:

But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see:
and they that have not heard shall understand.

The verse begins, But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: Paul began with the word, “but” which is a disassociation conjunction that means what is about to be written takes precedence over what was just stated “as it is written” or “like and in the manner in which it is delineated or formed on a tablet, parchment, paper or other material”, “to whom he was not spoken of” which means “to the people who were not announced to, made known, reported, rehearsed or brought tidings”, “they shall see” or “those people will look at, behold and appear”. Paul referred to the prophet Isaiah's words as he shared concerning people to whom Jesus had never been revealed and how they shall “perceive and know” Him.

The verse continues, “and they that have not heard shall understand.. Paul added the words, “and they that have not heard” which means “and the people who have never been endowed with the faculty of hearing, understanding, perceiving and comprehending” “shall understand” or “will be brought together, joined together in the mind and have the knowledge of those things which pertain to salvation”. Paul referred to the people who would hear and “understand” the “gospel of Jesus Christ”.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see his reference to Isaiah chapter fifty-two and verse fifteen where we read, So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.” God desires people from all nations, tribes, peoples and languages to receive His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”, and those who have not “heard” His “good news” were not only the focus of Paul the apostle but must also be the concern of all believers in Jesus today.

Next time Paul tells the believers in Rome, “for which cause also I have been much hindered”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
