God's Kingdom Come Matthew 6:10

Matthew shared how Jesus told His disciples, when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not you therefore like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him. After this manner therefore pray you: Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name, and in chapter six and verse ten of his book, Matthew shared how Jesus continued His prayer with the words, “your kingdom come. Your will be done” where we read:

Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

The verse reads, Your kingdom come. Matthew began with the words, “your kingdom” which means “God's royal power, kingship, dominion and rule” “come” or “arise, appear, find place and show itself”. Jesus shared how His disciples were to ask that God's “dominion and rule” to appear.

The verse continues, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew added the words, “your will be done” which means “God's wish, purpose, commands, precepts, choices, inclinations, desires and pleasure come into existence, begin to be, come to pass and happen” “in earth” or “within the arable land, territory, country and region”, “as it is” which means “in the same manner and likeness as God will exists” “in heaven” or “within the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings”. Jesus told the disciples to request that “God's will” be performed upon the “earth” in the same manner as it is in “heaven”.

When we think through Matthew's words in this verse, we see how Jesus showed how “God's will” is needed upon the “earth”. In “heaven”, God's will is manifested and kept constantly in the heavenly region, and there is no greater synchronicity. God desires to have a relationship with every person through His Son Jesus in His “kingdom”, and when people upon the “earth” align with His will, God's “purposes, commands, precepts, choices, inclinations, desires and pleasure come into existence, begin to be, come to pass and happen” “in earth”.

Next time Jesus tells His disciples to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
