Your Heavenly Father Knows Your Needs Matthew 6:32

Matthew shared how Jesus told His disciples, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”, and in chapter six and verse thirty-two of his book, Matthew shared how Jesus asked His disciples, “your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things” where we read:

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:)

for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

The verse reads, (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) Matthew began with the word, “for” which means “because, since, on account of, consequently and these things being so” “after all” or “inquiring, seeking for, craving, demanding and clamoring for” “these things” which means “eating, drinking and clothing” “do the Gentiles” or “do the multitude of individuals of the same nature or genus, a tribe, nation or people group” “seek” which means “search for, seek diligently, wish for, crave, demand and clamor for”? Jesus told His disciples the “heathen” or “the world” “searches diligently” for things to “eat and drink” and for “what to wear”.

The verse goes on to say, for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.” Matthew continues with the word, “for” or “because, since, on account that, consequently and these things being so” “your heavenly Father” which means “the disciples generator and originator who is God who dwells in the celestial region” “knows ” which refers to “perceives, notices, discerns and discovers” “that you have need” which means “that His disciples required” “of all” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of” “these things” which refers to “the things to eat, drink and what to wear”. Jesus told His disciples that God already “knew” they had need of “food, drink and clothing”.

When we consider Matthew's words in this verse, we see how God already knows the “physical needs” of every person, and when they receive Jesus, God's Son, as their personal “Savior and Lord”, they have further assurance that He shall provide everything they need to “eat, drink and wear”. May all who read these words receive Jesus Christ as their personal “Savior” and enjoy His promised provisions today.

Next time Jesus tells His disciples, “seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousnessand more, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
