Plain to Him Who Understands - Proverbs 8:9

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them”, and in chapter eight and verse nine of Proverbs Solomon said his words are, “plain to him that understands” where we read,

They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.

The verse begins, “They are all plain to him that understands, .... Solomon began with the words, “they are all plain” or “ they, the wise words of Solomon, each, every, the whole and everyone exist as straight, right, correct and with integrity” to him that understands which means “to him, a person whether male or female, who discerns, discovers, observes, distinguishes and considers”. Solomon shared how the words of “wisdom” that he shared were right and correct to anyone who discerns them.

The verse goes on to say, “... and right to them that find knowledge.” Solomon continued with the words, “and right to them” or “and straight, upright and correct toward the people whether male or female” “that find knowledge” which means “who secure, acquire and learn perception, skill, understanding and wisdom”. Solomon said his words of “wisdom” exist as upright and correct to people who discover perception and understanding.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how his words of “wisdom” are correct, right, straight and filled with integrity. They are available to everyone who discovers them. God wants us to take advantage of His “wisdom” (See James 1:5), and He exhibited His greatest “wisdom” when He gave His Son Jesus to the world to be crucified on the cross so we could be in a personal relationship with Him. When we yield our lives to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and make His right and correct “wisdom” available to us every day. Let us give Him praise, glory and honor for not only providing salvation through Jesus, but also giving us His “wisdom”.

Next time Solomon says, “receive my instruction, and not silver”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
