In Psalms chapter twenty-one David wrote about Jehovah God, “Your hand shall find out all your enemies: your right hand shall find out those that hate you. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. For they intended evil against you: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. Therefore shall you make them turn their back, when you shall make ready your arrows upon your strings against the face of them”, and in chapter twenty one and verse thirteen of Psalms David said, “Be you exalted, LORD, in your own strength” where we read,
Be you exalted, LORD, in your own strength: so will we sing and praise your power.
The verse begins, “ Be you exalted, LORD, in your own strength:” David began with the words, “Be you exalted” which means “you, Jehovah God, be raised, lifted up and set on high ”, “LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “in your own strength” which means “within your, Jehovah God's, own personal power, might and boldness”. David desired that Jehovah God be lifted up within His own power and might.
The verse goes on to say, “so will we sing and praise your power.” David continued with the words, “so will we sing” or “then, therefore and on this account we, David and his fellow believers, shall sing songs” “and praise” which means “make music with the voice or musical instruments toward” “your power” or “your, Jehovah God's, might, strength and bravery”. David wrote how he and his fellow believers in Jehovah God would make music with their voices and musical instruments toward His might, strength and bravery.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David concluded that he and his fellow believers in Jehovah would offer Him “songs with their voices and musical instruments” concerning Jehovah God's might and strength. Jehovah God knows how to defend Himself and those who put their faith and trust in Him. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of mankind, and when we put our faith and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive us for our sins and grant us everlasting life. Let us join David and his fellow believers with “song and praise” to Jehovah God for His “power” to deliver and save all who surrender themselves to Him.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David ask, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
