Christ Died, Rose and Makes Intercession Romans 8:34

Paul the apostle asked the people in Rome,Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?”, and he answered,It is God that justifies.” In chapter eight and verse thirty-four of Romans, Paul told his readers, “Christ died...is risen again” and “makes intercession for us” where we read:

Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

The verse begins, Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, ...Paul began with the words, “who” which means “what person” “is he” or “is the person whether male or female” “that condemns” which means “who damns or renders another's wickedness the more evident and censurable”? “It is Christ” or “it is the anointed One, the Messiah and the Son of God” “that died” which refers to “who perished and was slain”, “yes rather” or “moreover and to a greater degree and more willing, readily and sooner”, “that is risen” which means “who arose, was aroused, recalled and caused to appear” “again” or “another time” . Paul questioned his readers as to who could “render them damned” because Jesus Christ not only “died” but also “rose” from the dead for them.

The verse continues, ... who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Paul added the words, “who is even or “that is also and indeed” “at the right hand” which means “at the place of honor or authority” “of God” which means “pertaining to the Godhead and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”, “who also” or “Jesus even and indeed” “makes intercession” or “entreats, prays and meets with God for the purpose of conversation consultation or supplication” “for us” which refers to “Paul, his companions and his believing readers”. Paul shared how Jesus sits at “the place of honor and authority” while “praying” and “interceding” for believers in Him.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see how no one is able to “render another wicked and censurable” because of Jesus' “death”, “resurrection” and “intercession” for those who believe and trust in Him. When a person gives their “heart and soul” to Jesus Christ and receives Him as their personal “Savior and Lord”, “he consults and supplicates” God on their behalf. Those who are wise shall desire to have Jesus “making intercession” for them, and His standing invitation to receive Him is available to everyone today.

Next time Paul asks his readers, “who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
