A Deliverer Out of Zion Romans 11:26

Paul the apostle asked the people in Rome,I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in”, and in chapter eleven and verse twenty-six of Romans, Paul referred to scripture again as he told the people in Rome, “there shall come out of Zion the Deliverer where we read:

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
The verse begins, And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer,Paul began with the words, “and so all Israel” which means “and in this manner each, every, the whole and everyone who is of the family or descendants of Israel whose name means he shall be a prince of God” “shall be saved” or “will be kept safe and sound and rescued from danger or destruction”: “as it is written” which means“like and in the manner it is delineated on a tablet, parchment or other material”, “there shall come” which means “there will arrive and be present unexpectedly” “out of Zion” or “from the hill on which the higher and more ancient part of Jerusalem was but which means parched place” “the Deliverer” which refers to “the one who draws to himself to rescue”. Paul referred to scripture as he declared that “Israel” will be “saved” through the “Deliverer” Jesus like everyone else who believes and trusts in Him.

The verse continues, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:. Paul added the words, “and shall turn away” or “will remove, turn away, and defect” “ungodliness” which refers to “want of reverence towards God and impiety” “from Jacob” or “separate and away from the progenitor or the Israelites whose name means heel-catcher or supplanter”. Paul continued his reference to the scripture as he declared how the “Deliverer” Jesus would “remove impiety” from Israel as well.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how God was to send His Son Jesus as the “Deliverer” of “Israel” and the entire world. Israel as a nation will be “saved” because they shall eventually know that God's Son Jesus is the Messiah and Lord, and they shall believe in the same manner that is available to everyone today. The prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Micah, Zephaniah and Zechariah all wrote concerning Him. To be “saved”, a person need only to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and know in their heart that God raised Him from the dead while confessing with their mouth that He is Lord. Repentance from sins produces forgiveness when brought to Jesus, and the penalty of sin is death which is why a “Deliverer” is necessary. May all who read these words know this wonderful Savior Jesus whom God has sent to “rescue”.

Next time Paul shares with his believing readers in Rome, my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
