John the apostle shared how, “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him”, and in chapter three and verse three of his book, John shared how Jesus says, “except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” where we read:
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The verse reads, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ...” John began with the words, “Jesus answered and said unto him” which means “Jesus, the Son of God, the Savior of mankind and God incarnate whose name means Jehovah is Salvation responded and began to speak and uttered, declared and proclaimed to Nicodemus”, “Verily, verily” or “truly, truly or surely surely”, “I say unto you” which means “I, Jesus, utter, declare and proclaim to you, Nicodemus” the following words. John shared how Jesus “responded” to Nicodemus by certifying the following words.
The verse goes on to say, “... Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John continued with the words, “Except a man” which means “unless a person whether male or female” “be born again” or “be engendered, caused to arise and be begotten anew and over again”, “he cannot see” which means “that person whether male or female is unable, incapable and without ability to perceive, be acquainted with by experience or behold” “the kingdom of God” which refers to “the royal power, kingship, dominion and rule belonging to the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. John shared how Jesus told “Nicodemus” that unless a person is “born again”, they would be unable to “perceive or know” God's Kingdom and rule.
When we consider John's words in this verse, we learn one of the most important principles in the Bible. Jesus said, “unless a person is born again” they will be unable to “see the Kingdom of God”. In other words, without being “born again”, a person will never know a personal relationship with God. God's desire is to have every person believe and trust in His Son Jesus as their “Lord and Savior”, and when they do, they are able to “see” His Kingdom. However, should they refuse to receive Jesus, they will never have the ability to perceive all God has planned for them in His “Kingdom”. Let all who read these words believe and see.
Next time John shares how Nicodemus asks, “How can a man be born when he is old?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
