No Respect of Persons with God Romans 2:11

Paul the apostle told the church members in Rome how there would be, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile, but glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile”. In chapter two and verse eleven of Romans, Paul shared how, “there is no respect of persons with God.” where we read:

For there is no respect of persons with God.

The verse begins, “For there is no respect ...” Paul began with the word, “for” which means “even as, indeed, no doubt, seeing then, verily and therefore” “there is no respect” which means “there exists no partiality or fault of one who when called on to give judgment with respect of the outward circumstances of man and not to their intrinsic merits and prefers the more worthy one who is rich, high born or powerful to another who does not have these qualities”. Paul shared how there “exists no partiality” or favoritism.

The verse continues, “... of persons with God.” Paul added the words, “of persons” which means “of human beings whether male or female” “with God” or “with the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. “God” does not show or demonstrate any “preference” or “favoritism” toward any one person over another.

When we think through words of Paul, we see how all people shall be “judged” alike. Regardless of whether they are “rich, poor, known, unknown, powerful, weak, educated, uneducated, sophisticated or elementary”, God shall “judge” everyone the same. Jesus Christ came to “save” people irrespective of their “lot” in life, and when they stand before God's throne in judgment, there shall be one question asked, “what did you do with my Son?” For those who put their “faith and trust” in Him, they shall be “saved”, but for those who “reject” Him as “Savior and Lord”, God shall say, “I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity” (See Matthew 7:21-23) and no position or status shall be “respected” or excepted on that day.

Next time Paul declares, “as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
