Fairer than the Children of Men - Psalms 45:2

In Psalms chapter forty five David said, “My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer”, and in chapter forty five and verse two of Psalms David said, “You are fairer than the children of men” where we read,

You are fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into your lips:

therefore God has blessed you for ever.

The verse begins, You are fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into your lips: David began with the words, “You are fairer” or “you, royal king, exist as brighter, more beautiful and handsome” “than the children of men” which means “compared to the offspring and progeny belonging to human beings whether male or female”: “grace is poured” or “favor, charm, elegance and acceptance is cast, firmly established and placed firmly” “into your lips” which means “in your, royal king's, language and speech”. David declared the royal ruler to be more handsome than the offspring of people, and that favor, charm and elegance was firmly placed within his language and speech.

The verse continues, therefore God has blessed you for ever.” David added the words, “therefore God” or “upon this ground, on this basis and for this reason the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “has blessed you” which means “has adored, saluted and praised you, king” “for ever” or “for long duration, futurity, evermore and perpetually”. David concluded that Jehovah God saluted and praised the royal king to perpetuity.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David adored the royal king. He declared Him to be more beautiful than any other person born to mankind, and the idea of “unmerited favor” was in His speech and language. For this reason, Jehovah God would adore and praise Him for all eternity. David was speaking prophetically of the Messiah Jesus, and there is no one who possesses more beauty and grace than Him. Jesus came into the world to die on the cross and be raised from the grave three days later so mankind could be forgiven of their sins and inherit everlasting life with Him. God loves us, and when we humble ourselves, repent of our sins and submit to Jesus, we shall experience His “grace” and give this “Royal King” praise, honor and glory for all eternity.

Next time David says,Gird your sword upon your thigh, O most mighty, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
