In Psalms chapter forty two David said, “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterspouts: all your waves and your billows are gone over me”, and in chapter forty two and verse eight of Psalms David said, “the LORD will commend his lovingkindness” where we read,
Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime,
and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
The verse begins, “Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, ...” David began with the words, “Yet the LORD” or “even so and indeed Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “will command his lovingkindness” which means “shall charge, give order, appoint and commission his, Jehovah God's, goodness, kindness and faithfulness” “in the daytime” or “within the sunrise to sunset or daily”. David said Jehovah God would commission and appoint His goodness, faithfulness and kindness within the time of the day.
The verse continues, “... and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.” David added the words, “and in the night” or “and within the sunset to sunrise or nighttime” “his song shall be with me” which means “his, Jehovah God's, lyrical or religious song will remain, keep and continue alongside me, David”, “and my prayer unto the God” or “and my, David's, intercession, supplication and hymn toward the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “of my life” which means “belonging to my, David's, lively, active and fresh flowing sustenance and maintenance”. David said Jehovah God's lyrical hymn, supplication and intercession would be with with him and toward Jehovah God.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David was assured that Jehovah God would direct His kindness, goodness and faithfulness toward him in the day time, and during the night time, David would sing and make intercession to Him. In other words, in both the day and night the presence of Jehovah God would be within David's life. God loved David, and even when David was troubled in his soul, He could depend upon God to intercede as he cried out to Him. God desires to have an intimate personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus to the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us His Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth and provide His assurance regardless of the difficulties and afflictions we encounter. Let us join David and sing songs of worship and intercessions throughout the day and night to include Jehovah God in every minute of our lives.
Next time David asks, “why have you forgotten me?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
