Blessing, Glory, Wisdom, Thanksgiving, Honor, Power and Might to God Revelation 7:12

After the worship scene in heaven where “the Lamb” of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, the beginning of the tribulation to come upon the earth began and John the apostle saw the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and the sixth seals were opened and great troubles came upon the earth with each of them. He continued to write, After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands, and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, and all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God,”, and in chapter seven and verse eleven John saw “all the angels round about the throne” where we read:

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving,
and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

The verse reads, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, ...John began with the word, “saying” which means “uttering, declaring and proclaiming”, “Amen” which means “so be it, let it be so and may it be fulfilled”: “Blessing” or “praise, laudation, benediction, consecration and benefit” “and glory” or “splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence and majesty”, “and wisdom” which means “full intelligence and the use of the knowledge of very diverse matters”, “and thanksgiving” or “and gratitude and giving of thanks”. John heard this huge multitude attributing “blessing, glory, wisdom and thanksgiving” toward God.

The verse goes on to say, “... and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.” John added the words, “and honor” which means “value, deference and reverence”, “and power” which means “strength and ability”, “and might” or “ability, force and strength”, “be unto our God” or “toward the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “for ever” which means “to the unbroken age, perpetuity of time and eternity” “and ever” or “to the unbroken age, perpetuity of time and eternity”. “Amen” which means “so be it, let it be so and may it be fulfilled “. John saw the multitude attribute “honor, power and might” to God for all of eternity.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we can imagine this massive crowd of people, angels, elders and four living beings all worshiping God with characteristics which He embodies. “Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and might” only begin to describe this wonderful Heavenly Father God. This God, who created and governs over all the universe, deserves praise and glory in this manner, and those who receive His Son Jesus Christ as their personal “Savior and Lord” shall not only know Him in this fashion, but also join in the worship and adoration of Him. May all who read these words yield to His wonderful plan of “salvation”.

Next time we John sees, “one of the elders” talking with him, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
