Serving Day and Night Revelation 7:15

After the worship scene in heaven where “the Lamb” of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, the beginning of the tribulation to come upon the earth began and John the apostle saw the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and the sixth seals were opened and great troubles came upon the earth with each of them. He wrote, After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands, and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, and all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” In chapter seven and verse thirteen John saw how God's multitude with “white robes” “serve him day and night in his temple” where we read:

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:
and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them.

The verse reads, Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:John began with the word, “therefore” which means “by these means, ground, account and reason” “are they before” which means “are the multitude dressed in white robes in front and in the presence of”, “the throne” or “the chair of state having a footstool which was assigned to kings and therefore showing kingly power or royalty“of God” which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”, “and serve” or “and minister to, render religious service or homage to and worship” “him” which refers to “God” “day and night” or “all through the daytime and nighttime” “in his temple” which means “in God's sanctuary consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies”. John heard the “elder” share how the “white robed multitude” who came out of “great tribulation” and washed their “garments” in the bloodshed of Jesus were to “serve” God around the clock within His “sanctuary”.

The verse goes on to say, “and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them.” John added the words, “and he that sits” which means “and God who is seated, occupies and has a fixed abode” “on the throne” which means “upon the chair of state having a footstool which was assigned to kings and therefore showing kingly power or royalty” “shall dwell” or “will tabernacle, abide and live” “among them” which means “around the multitude dressed in white robes”. John .

When we consider John's words in this verse, we see how these who came out of “great tribulation” are to be “servants” in God's temple continually, and God will “dwell” among them. There will be nothing on earth that compares to “serving and living with God” for all of eternity, and those who have received His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord” shall know the joy of doing so. These people who receive Jesus shall be “servants” in God's temple, and those who receive Him before the tribulation shall “rule and reign” with Him. Let all who read these words know, today is the day of “salvation”.

Next time we John , “shall hunger and thirst no more”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
