Twelve Thousand from Simeon, Levi and Issachar Revelation 7:7

After the worship scene in heaven where “the Lamb” of God received the “scroll” in God's right hand, the beginning of the tribulation to come upon the earth began and John the apostle saw the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and the sixth seals were opened and great troubles came upon the earth with each of them. He saw the He continued, And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.” John saw, “Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand”, and in chapter seven and verse seven of Revelation John saw “twelve thousand” from “the tribes of Simeon, Levi and Issachar” where we read:

Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

The verse reads, Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. John began with the words, “of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people“of Simeon” which means “harkening” and was “the second son of Jacob by Leah” “were sealed” or “set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp“twelve thousand” which means “two and ten thousand people”. “Of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people“of Levi” which means “joined” and was “the third son of the patriarch Jacob by his wife Leah” “were sealed” or “set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp“twelve thousand” which means “two and ten thousand people”. John saw “twelve thousand people” from the “tribes” of “Simeon and Levi” “marked” with God's “signet seal”.

The verse goes on to say, “Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.” John added the words, “of the tribe” which means “from the nation and people” “of Issachar” which means “reward” and was “the ninth son of Jacob and the fifth of Leah” “were sealed” which refers to “setting a mark upon by the impress of a seal or stamp” “twelve thousand” or “two and ten thousand people”. John also saw “twelve thousand people” from the “tribe” of “Issachar” “marked” with God's “signet seal”.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we see how John watched people from the tribes of Simeon, Levi and Issachar” be “marked” with God's “signet seal”. This “seal” would insure their safety during the time of great destruction that was going to happen on the earth. This is God's plan for every person who receives His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord” because He does not desire for anyone to endure these things. Only those who reject His offer of “salvation” through His Son Jesus shall know God's wrath upon the earth, and woe be to those who refuse to align with Him.

Next time we John sees how, “twelve thousand” were “sealed” of the tribes of “Zabulon, Joseph and Benjamin”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
