Kings and Priests Revelation 5:10

John the apostle was in heaven and he, “beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth, and he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne, and when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints, and they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”, and in chapter five and verse ten of Revelation John shared how the “twenty-four elders” declared how Jesus has, “made us unto our God kings and priests” where we read:

And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The verse reads, And have made us unto our God kings and priests: John began with the words, “and have made us” which means “Jesus made, produced and prepared the twenty-four elders“unto our God” which means “toward the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit as” “kings” or “leaders, lords, princes and commanders” “and priests” which means “ones who offer sacrifices and are busied with sacred rites”. John shared how the “twenty-four elders” who represent the church continued to sing of Jesus making them as “rulers and ones who offer sacrifices” to God.

The verse goes on to say, “and we shall reign on the earth.” John added the words, “and we shall reign” which means “and the twenty-four elders will rule, exercise kingly power and govern” “on the earth” which refers to “over all the arable land, territory, country and region”. The “church” shall “rule” over all the “world with Jesus”.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we see the continuation of this song of the “twenty-four elders” which represents the “church” of Jesus. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, and those who receive Him as “Savior and Lord” shall join among those who are to be “kings and priests” who rule the world with Him. Let all who read these words consider the exceeding great rewards and positions offered to those who accept Jesus as “Lord”.

Next time John shares how he “heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
