All Gone Out of the Way and Unprofitable Romans 3:12

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome, “There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God”, and in chapter three and verse twelve of Romans, Paul shared how people are, all gone out of the way...and unprofitable where we read:

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that does good, no, not one.

The verse begins, They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; Paul began with the words, “they are all” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the people who are not righteous, do not understand nor seek God have” “gone out of the way” or “turned aside, deviated, kept aloof from one's society and shunned”, “they” which refers to “the people who are not righteous, do not understand nor seek God” “are together” which means “are at the same time, at once and in close association” “become unprofitable” or “made useless, rendered unserviceable and spoiled”. Paul deemed every person to have “turned aside from God's way” and were “made useless and spoiled”.

The verse goes on to say, there is none that does good, no, not one.Paul added the words, “there is none” which means “there exists not one certain person who is” “that does good” or “with moral goodness, integrity, benignity and kindness” “no, not” or “neither and no one” “one” which refers to “one person”. Paul declared every person doesn't have “moral goodness and integrity”.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see how far away from “perfection” people are from God's law. No one keeps the law of God without error, and though some may follow God's ways more than others, still everyone violates His law and are “rendered unserviceable and spoiled”. Because everyone is guilty of violating God's law, Jesus Christ came to die for their “sins, mistakes” and “errors”, and when people “believe and trust” in Him, they shall not only be forgiven, but also are promised and given “everlasting life”. (John 3:16)

Next time Paul tells the people in Rome, “their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit;, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
