None Righteous Romans 3:10

Paul the apostle asked the Jews in Rome, “What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise:
for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;”, and in chapter three and verse ten of Romans, Paul shared how, “There is none righteous, no, not one” where we read:

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

The verse begins, “As it is written,” Paul began with the words, “as it is written” which means “in the way and manner it is delineated or formed with letters on a tablet, parchment, paper or other material”. Paul referred to Psalm 14:1-3 and 53:1-3 for his next statement.

The verse goes on to say, “There is none righteous, no, not one:” Paul added the words, “there is none” which means “there comes or exists not one certain person who is” “righteous” or “upright, observing divine laws, virtuous and keeping the commands of God”, “no, not” or “neither and not even” “one” which means “one person”. Paul declared everybody as “unrighteous” with God's law.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see the entire world “guilty” before God. Not one person has kept the “law of God” perfectly other than Jesus. Everyone is “unrighteous”, and every person is in need of a “Savior”. That “Savior” is Jesus, and the reason God sent His Son Jesus into the world was to “save” “unrighteous” people. When people realize they have “violated” God's law, repent of their “sins” and turn to Jesus in “belief and trust”, Jesus not only “saves” them from the penalty of sin - “death”, He also changes their lives forever and promises they shall live eternally with God.

Next time Paul tells the people in Rome how he and his companions have been, “there is none that understands or “seeks after God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
