Justifier of Him Which Believes Romans 3:26

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome, “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ:”, and he added, “whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood”. In chapter three and verse twenty-six of Romans, Paul God may be, “the justifier of him which believes in Jesus” where we read:

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just,
and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus
The verse begins, “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:... Paul began with the words, “to declare” which means “to demonstrate, prove, manifest by act, sign and evidence”, “I say” or “Paul uttered, declared and proclaimed”, “at this time” which means “at this present and immediate moment” “his righteousness” or “God's doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God, integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness and correctness of thinking, feeling and acting”. God “righteously” presented Jesus as the “appeasing sacrifice” for the sins of people.

The verse continues, ... that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in JesusPaul added the words, “that he might be” or “so God could happen and be present as” “just” or “righteous, upright, virtuous and keeping God's commands”, “and the justifier” which means “the one who renders righteous, such as he ought to be, wishes to be considered, declared and pronounced” “of him” or “of the person whether male or female” “which believes” which means “who has the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ” “in Jesus” whose name means “Jehovah is salvation” and is “the Son of God, the Messiah and God incarnate”. Paul shared God's reason for sending Jesus was so He might be shown as “upright and virtuous” and the one who “renders righteous” people who “trust in, rely upon and cling to” His Son Jesus.

When we meditate upon these words of Paul, we see how God was involved in the process of making people “righteous” before Him. God sent His Son Jesus who kept His law perfectly and gave His life as a perfect “appeasing sacrifice” for sin, and now those who put their faith and trust in Him not only become “righteous” before God, but also demonstrate how God is “just” and the “justifier” of all who “believe”.

Next time Paul asks the people in Rome,“where is the boasting then?, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
