Hope Makes Not Ashamed Romans 5:5

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome, we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience”, and he added, “And patience, experience; and experience, hope.” In chapter five and verse five of Romans, Paul shared how, “hope makes not ashamed” where we read:

And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
The verse begins, “And hope makes not ashamed;Paul began with the words, “and hope” which means “the expectation of good” “makes” or “forms and fashions” “not ashamed” which means “to not be dishonored, disgraced, put or blushed to shame”. Paul shared how having the “expectation of good” doesn't bring “shame” to a person.

The verse continues, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.Paul added the word, “because” which means “since and in that” “the love” or “affection, good will, love, benevolence and unconditional love” “of God” which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “is shed abroad” or “is poured out and distributed largely”“in our hearts” which means “within Paul, his companions and his believing readers' soul or mind as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes and endeavors” “by the Holy Ghost” which refers to “through and by means of the most sacred third person of the triune God who is coequal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son ” “which is given” or “who is granted, delivered and supplied” “unto us” which means “Paul, his companions and his believing readers”. Paul

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how having the “expectation of good” “makes” believers in Jesus without “shame” because God's “unconditional love” has been poured out upon them. The “Holy Spirit” of God is “given” to those who receive Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”, and His presence within demonstrates God's abundant “love” toward them. Those who receive Jesus Christ, receive His provision for their “sins”, and His “Holy Spirit” within them is proof of His forgiveness. May all who read these words yield themselves to Jesus Christ and receive the gift of God's “Holy Spirit” today.

Next time Paul shares with the people in Rome, when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly ”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
