What God Promises He Performs Romans 4:21

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome how Abraham, “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God”, and in chapter four and verse twenty-one of Romans, Paul shared that which God, “had promise, he was able also to perform” where we read:

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
The verse begins, And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, ...” Paul began with the words, “and being fully persuaded that” which means “bearing, bringing or making full, causing a thing to be shown to the full and carried through to the end”, “what he had promised” or “that which God announced, furnished, professed and engaged voluntarily”. Paul shared how Abraham was “convinced” by what God “said He would do”.

The verse goes on to say, he was able also to perform.Paul added the word, “he” which refers to “God” “was able also” or “was powerful, mighty, strong and excelling in something” “to perform” which means “to make, produce, construct, form and fashion”. Paul “completely convinced” that God would carry out His “promise” to it's fulfillment.

When we consider these words of Paul, we see how Abraham's “faith” was strong concerning God and His “promise” to him. Abraham knew God would do as He said, and there was no doubt concerning God completing it. God also “promised” forgiveness of sins and “everlasting life” to everyone who believes in His Son Jesus Christ, and it is certain that He shall fulfill this promise as well. Those who are wise shall realize what God “promises” He will do.

Next time Paul tells the people in Rome what God, “it was imputed to him for righteousness, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
