Disjoined
Separate and bleak
Despair and doubt
a never ending rift
division from the other kind
A gossip kind of folk
whose rumors spread far and wide
unwilling to change or move
Strong-willed and proud in position
Never changing mind nor heart
their way is right and all others forbearing
and longanimous
Until the day that Jesus comes
and enters in their hearts
and brings about the truth in them
from which they'll ne'er depart
From whirling thoughts not that divine
to unity and trust
and that which caused such great amiss
becomes their certain must
And oh how blessed to be with these
who dwell in unity
discovered ways avoid divide
and commonality
And thus dare not allow the train
of gossip rumor mill
to roam about and fill with doubt
their fellowship of will
And now from chaos to abide
their pleasant will to dwell
in unity and not divide
avoiding lifelong knell
