Many Seek the Ruler's Favor - Proverbs 29:26

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “the fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe”, and in chapter twenty-nine and verse twenty-six of Proverbs Solomon said, “many seek the ruler's favor” where we read,

Many seek the ruler's favor;

but every man's judgment comes from the LORD.

The verse begins, Many seek the ruler's favor; Solomon began with the words, “many seek” or “a great, numerous and abounding number of people desire, require, exact and request” “the ruler's favor” which means “the face, presence and countenance of the person who has rule, dominion and reign”. Solomon said a numerous amount of people desire to have the presence and countenance of the person who has authority and rule.

The verse goes on to say, “but every man's judgment comes from the LORD. Solomon continued with the words, “but every man's judgment” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover each, all, the whole and everyone of the justices, ordinances and acts of deciding a case from people whether male or female” “comes from the LORD” which means “appears and arrives from Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. Solomon said justice, ordinance and acts of deciding a case are given to a person through Jehovah God.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how there are an abundant amount of people who want have the grace and countenance of ruling authorities, however, each person's justice and acts of deciding cases is given through Jehovah God. God loves us, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we surrender to Him, we will be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and taught the value of obtaining His “favor” and gaining His judgment for causes that arise before us.

Next time Solomon says, “an unjust man is an abomination to the just”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
