Not Left in the Enemies Hand - Psalms 37:33

In Psalms chapter thirty seven David said, “The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him”, and in chapter thirty seven and verse thirty-three of Psalms David said, “the LORD will not leave him in his hand” where we read,

The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

The verse begins, The LORD will not leave him in his hand, ... David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “will not leave him” which means “shall in no way or manner loose, forsake, depart, abandon or apostatize the righteous person” “in his hand” or “within his, the wicked person's power, strength or might”. David said Jehovah God would not allow the “wicked” to have authority and power over the “righteous” person.

The verse goes on to say,... nor condemn him when he is judged. David continued with the words, “nor condemn him” or “no and not in any way or manner make him, the righteous person, to be guilty in ethical or religious relations” “when he is judged” which means “at the time and moment he, the righteous person whether male or female, is vindicated, ruled or in the place of deciding a controversy”. David said Jehovah God would in no way make the “righteous” person to be “guilty” at the time and moment they are put in a place of “judgment”.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God involves Himself in the affairs of the “wicked” when they oppose and seek to destroy the “righteous”. God alone is able to make a person “righteous” when they yield themselves to His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”. Jesus was holy and righteous when He lived on the earth, and yet people put Him to death. However, Jesus did not stay dead because He rose from the tomb and thereby defeated death, hell and the grave. (See Revelation 1:18) Now every person who humbles themselves and comes to Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life. Although it may appear for a time that the “wicked” rule over and destroy the “just”, it will not last forever, and Jehovah God will be the “judge” over every word, act and deed that “wicked” people commit and desire to commit against the ones He has made “righteous”.

Next time David says, wait on the LORD, and keep his way, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
