Armies on White Horses Revelation 19:14

An “angel” from heaven showed John the apostle many things which will occur in the tribulation time on the earth, and John wrote about commercial Babylon's destruction and the people who were affected by it. John continued to write, “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever .And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his servants, and you that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he says unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God”, and in Revelation chapter nineteen and verse fourteen John saw how, “the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses” where we read:

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

The verse reads, And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, ... John began with the words, “and the armies” which means “the band of soldiers and guards men” “which were in heaven” or “who were in the region above the sidereal heavens and the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings” “followed him” which means “joined him as his attendant, sided with his party and accompanied him” “upon white horses” which means “on bright, brilliant and dazzling white horses”. John saw how Jesus' “armies” who were riding upon “dazzling white horses” “accompanied” Him.

The verse continues, “... clothed in fine linen, white and clean. John added the words, “clothed in” which means “endured and arrayed with” “fine linen” or “linens made of fine material”, “white and clean” which means “bright, brilliant and dazzling white and purified”. John noticed the “brilliant, dazzling white and purified fine” “outerwear” of those “following” Jesus.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we see how this is the group who were written about earlier who were clothed with the “righteousness of God”. They were now “accompanying” Jesus as He rides upon His “dazzling white horse”. This “army” is the “church”, and those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal “Savior and Lord” shall be among them. This mighty “army” “follow” Jesus as He rides toward the earth in battle. Oh what a glorious scene this shall be, and everyone who is reading these words should be inspired to give their lives and hearts to Jesus Christ so they too may be a part of His “gloriously” clad “army”.

Next time John saw how,“out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
