Twenty Four Elders and Four Beasts Worship Again Revelation 19:4

An “angel” from heaven showed John the apostle many things which will occur in the tribulation time on the earth, and John wrote about commercial Babylon's destruction and the people who were affected by it. In chapter nineteen and verse one thru three of Revelation, John wrote, “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”, and in verse four John hares how, “the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God” where we read:

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God
that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

The verse reads, And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God ...” John began with the words, “and the four and twenty elders” which means “the twenty-four presbyters, judges or rulers“and the four beasts” or “four living beings like animals“fell down” which means “descended from an erect to a prostrate position to pay homage” “and worshiped” or “” “God” which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. John watched as the “twenty-four elders” and the “four living beings” prostrated themselves and gave homage to God Almighty.

The verse continues, “... that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. John added the words, “that sat” which means “who was seated, fixed, established and dwelt” “on the throne” or “upon the chair of state having a footstool and power”, “saying” which means “uttering, declaring and proclaiming” “Amen” or “so it is, so be it and may it be fulfilled”; “Alleluia” which means “praise you the Lord”. The worship and praise from the “twenty-four elders” and the “four beasts” was directed toward God Almighty who was seated upon His throne as they declared “So be it” and “Praise the Lord”!

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we can imagine the excitement within heaven as these “twenty-four elders” and “four living beings” joined the worship of the “great multitude”. John the apostle must have been totally amazed as he watched these things transpire. God Almighty desires for every person to join in worshiping Him, and this is completed by receiving His Son Jesus as a personal “Savior and Lord”. Anyone who truly considers this wonderful scene in heaven will want to be a part of it and by accepting Jesus Christ, God will make them a part of it.

Next time John heard, “and a voice came out of the throne, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
