Eyes at a Flame of Fire Revelation 19:12

An “angel” from heaven showed John the apostle many things which will occur in the tribulation time on the earth, and John wrote about commercial Babylon's destruction and the people who were affected by it. John continued to write, “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever .And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his servants, and you that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he says unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war”, and in Revelation chapter nineteen and verse twelve John saw how the one on the “white horse had, “eyes ... as a flame of fire” where we read:

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

The verse reads, His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; John began with the words, “his eyes” which means “the One riding upon the white horse's eyes used for seeing” “were as a flame” or “were similar to and like a blazing flash or flame” “of fire” which means “fire like as from lightning”, “and on his head” or “and upon the rider on the white horse's chief, prominent and supreme part of his face” “were many crowds” which means “a large and abundant amount of diadems which are kingly ornaments for the head”. John saw the One upon the white horse, Jesus, had “eyes” that shined like blazes of “fire”, and He wore many “diadems” upon His head.

The verse continues, “and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. John added the words, “and he had a name” which means “and the One upon the “white horse” owned and possessed nomenclature used for everything which the name covers, everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing and remembering” “written” or “delineated and formed with letters”, “that no man knew” which means “that not one person was able to perceive, notice, discern, discover and understand”, “but” or “except and whether” “he himself” which means “the One riding upon the white horse”. John saw a “name” possessed by the One on the “white horse” that no other person knew.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we can imagine this ominous sight as the rider of the “white horse”, which is Jesus, has “eyes” ablaze and wore “a large amount of” “diadems” upon His head. His “eyes” are piercing, and He “rules and reigns” over all things. His name is not comprehensible and is beyond the knowledge of everyone. This mighty One upon the “white horse” is God Almighty's Son Jesus, and everyone shall submit themselves to Him. The question is when? Will it be now before He makes His appearance upon the “white horse”, or will it be when He appears and is ready for battle against all who oppose Him. Those who are wise shall receive Him as “Savior and Lord” now before He becomes the One with “piercing eyes of fire” and a “name” that no one knows..

Next time John saw how, “he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
