Tears, Death, Sorrow, Crying and Pain No More Revelation 21:4

After all the events of the tribulation period, the millennial reign of Jesus and the “Great White Throne” judgment, John the apostle wrote, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” John added, “and I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God”, and in Revelation chapter twenty-one and verse four John shares how, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” and will abolish “death, sorrow, crying and pain” where we read:

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The verse reads, And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; John began with the words, “and God” which means “and the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “shall wipe away” or “will besmear, erase, wipe and blot out” “all tears” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the tears” “from their eyes” or “separated from the people's eyes used for vision and sight”. John watched as “God” “blotted out” every “tear” from the human beings' “eyes”.

The verse continues, “ and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:” John added the words, “and there shall be” which means “and there will exist” “no more death” which means “no longer and any more the separation whether natural or violent of the soul by which the life on earth is ended”, “neither sorrow” or “not any longer mourning and grief”, “nor crying” which refers to “not any outcry, clamor or tumult”, “neither shall there be” or “nor will there exist” “any more pain” which means “no further degree, increase or time of great trouble, intense desire, toil or anguish”. John shared how “death, sorrow, crying and pain” shall be no more.

Finally the verse says, “for the former things are passed away.” John continued with the word, “for” which means “because, since and on account of” “the former things” which refers to “the first, principal and beginning things” “are passed away” or “are departed and behind”. John heard the voice confirm how the “first and principal things” are “departed”.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we see how the declaration is that God will remove all “tears, death, sorrow, crying and pain” from among humanity. These tenable traits have been a part of man's existence ever since “sin” entered in among people. God will remove all these horrific things, and they shall exist no more. Those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ, God's Son, shall enjoy “everlasting life” without all these horrible daily functions of living, and they shall enjoy the presence of God for ever and evermore.

Next time John shares how, “he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
