Till All Be Fulfilled - Luke 21:32

Luke the beloved physician shared how Jesus told His disciples, “a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees. When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand”, and in chapter twenty-one and verse thirty-two of his book Luke shared how Jesus says, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilledwhere we read:

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

The verse reads,Verily I say unto you, ...” Luke began with the word, “Verily or “truly, certainly and surely” “I say unto you” which means “I, Jesus, utter, declare and proclaim to you, Jesus' disciples”. Luke shared how Jesus began to make a “true and sure” statement to His disciples.

The verse goes on to say, “... This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.” Luke continues with the words, “this generation” or “the whole multitude of men and women who are living at the time of the signs on the earth and in the skies” “shall not pass away” which means “will in no way perish or avert these things”, “till all be fulfilled” or “until each, every, the whole and everyone of these things will be completed, finished and performed”. Luke shared how Jesus said no one within the “multitude” of people who are living at the time of these “signs” will “perish” until every one of them have been completed.

When we consider Luke's words in this verse, we learn how Jesus knew the events of the future before they happened. God is omniscient, and there is nothing He does not know or perceive. He desires to have a personal relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus, and Jesus came not only to warn people of the “signs” to come, but also to “save” them from their “sins” which separated them from God. Anyone who believes and trusts in Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord” will be “saved”, and they may rely upon Him for anything Jesus foretold if they are living at the time of these “signs”.

Next time Luke shares how Jesus says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
