Paul
the apostle told the church members in Corinth, “that
which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be,”,
and in
chapter fifteen and verse thirty-eight of First Corinthians, Paul
told the church members how, “God gives it a
body as it has pleased him”, where
we read:
But
God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own
body.
The
verse begins, “But
God gives it a body as it has pleased him,...”
Paul began
with the word, “But” which
is a disassociation conjunction that means what is about to be
written takes precedence over what was just stated “God”
which refers to “the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised
of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “gives”
or “grants, bestows, supplies, furnishes and delivers” “it
a body”
which means “a living corpse” “as
it has pleased him”
or “that He wills, has in mind, intends, purposes, desires and
wishes”. God decides what “body”
that will come from the “seed” that is “sown”.
The
verse goes on to say, “
...and to every seed his own body.”
Paul added
the word, “and to every seed” which
means “to each, all, the whole and everyone of the grain or kernel
which contains within itself the germ of the future plants” “his
own body”
which means “living corpse that pertains to itself”. God gives
“each and every” “seed” that is planted it own particular
shape and encompassing corpse.
When
we consider these words from Paul, we understand that God is in
control of the shapes of the bodies which come from “seeds”.
These plants have their own unique shape and size, and no two are
alike. Jesus Christ has in mind the “eternal body” He has planned
for those who believe in Him, and if we wonder what our “Heavenly
body” shall look like, we only need to remember that God Almighty
is in control of all the bodies that are created and made.
Next
time Paul shares with
the church members how,
“all flesh is not the same”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
