Never Man Spoke Like Jesus - John 7:46

The apostle John wrote concerning Jesus that some religious leaders, “would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have you not brought him?”, and in chapter seven and verse forty-six of his book, John shared how officers say, never man spoke like this man, where we read:

The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.

The verse reads,The officers answered, ...” John began with the words, “the officers” or “the attendants of the magistrates who executed penalties” “answered” which means “responded and began to speak” the following words. John shared how the “officers” who were sent by the “high priests and Pharisees” began to respond to them.

The verse goes on to say, “... Never man spoke like this man.” John continued with the words, “never man” which means “there has not at any time been a person who” “spoke” or “talked or used words in order to declare their mind and disclose their thoughts, uttered or preached” “like this man” which means “even as this male human being which meant Jesus”? John shared how the “officers” told the “high priests and Pharisees” no one ever “used their words” like Jesus.

When we consider John's words in this verse, we learn how the “officers” who were assigned to “capture” Jesus were mesmerized by His words. Jesus “spoke” like no one else because He was the “Messiah, Christ and Son of God”. God sent His Son Jesus to the world to provide “salvation” to mankind, and when they submit themselves to Him as their personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive their sins and grant them everlasting life. Let all who read these words carefully examine the “words” of Jesus and yield their live to Him.

Next time John shares how the Pharisees ask, are you also deceived?, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
