The Angel of the Waters' Proclamation Revelation 16:5

As John continued to share concerning the events during the tribulation, He wrote about the antichrist, the false prophet and angels who were involved in the reaping of the harvest of believers who received the Lord Jesus during that time. John saw when, seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea;
and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.”, and in chapter sixteen and verse five of Revelation John heard “the angel of the waters say” O Lord” “you are righteous” where we read:

And I heard the angel of the waters say, you are righteous,
O Lord, which are, and was, and shall be, because you have judged thus.

The verse reads, And I heard the angel of the waters say, you are righteous, ... John began with the words, “and I heard” which means “and John was given the faculty for hearing, perceiving, noticing, discerning and discovering” “the angel” or “the messenger, envoy and one sent” “of the waters” which means “pertaining to the rivers, fountains and pools” “say” or “utter, declare and proclaim”, “you are righteous” which means “God is faultless, guiltless, innocent and virtuous”. John listened as the third angel proclaimed how there was no “fault or guilt” found within God.

The verse goes on to say, “... O Lord, which are, and was, and shall be, because you have judged thus. John added the words, “O Lord” which refers to “the One to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master and the title given to God the Messiah”, “which are” or “who is in this present moment”, “and was” which means “and is in the past” “and shall be” or “and is in the future”, “because” which means “since, on account of and consequently” “you have judged thus” or “God has determined, resolved, decreed and pronounced rule and governance in this”. John heard the “third angel” proclaim the “eternal nature” of God as He lives in the “past, present and future” all at the same moment.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we discover the declaration of this “third angel” as He declares the “righteousness” and “eternality” of God Almighty. God's “judgments” through these “angels” and their “vials” is “right and just” because God exists outside of the time continuum and knows all things. God desires to “save” people from these horrific times, and if they will yield themselves to Jesus Christ His Son for the forgiveness of their sins, they shall avoid His “judgments”. However, if they refuse and reject God's offer, they shall know the powerful and “righteous judgment” of Almighty God, and woe be to those who suffer these things.

Next time John shares how these God opposing people “have shed the blood of saints and prophets, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
