Blessed Man of Sin not Imputed Romans 4:8

Paul the apostle told the people in Rome,“to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness, saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered”, and in chapter four and verse eight of Romans, Paul shares about, “blessed” “man” to whom “sin” is “not imputed” where we read:

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
The verse begins, Blessed is the man ...” Paul began with the word, “blessed” which means “oh how happy” “is the man” or “is the human being whether male or female”. Paul declared the person to whom he shall refer as “oh how happy”.

The verse continues, ... to whom the Lord will not impute sin.Paul added the words, “to whom” which means “to the person” “the Lord” or “he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master and the title given to God the Messiah” “will not impute” which means “does not reckon, count, compute, calculate or make account of” “sin” or “missing the mark, error and mistake”. “The Lord” has not “reckoned and accounted for” the “sins” of this “oh how happy” person.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see how he employed “King David's” declaration of the “blessed” person to whom God did not “account of” their sins. “King David” sinned, and God “forgave” his sin and cleansed him from his wicked way. Jesus Christ desires to provide the same to everyone today, and when a person “believes and trusts” in Him and turns from their wicked ways, they too shall know “the Lord's” pardon for their “iniquities”. May all who read these words be among the “oh how happy” that God has not “made account of” their sins.

Next time Paul asks the people in Rome, “does this blessedness then come upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also?, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
