Paul
the apostle told the people in Rome,
God set forth Jesus,
“to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare, I
say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the
justifier of him which believes in Jesus”,
and he asked, Where
is
boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No: but by the
law of faith.”
He continued by concluding, “that
a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”,
and
in
chapter three and verse twenty-nine of Romans, Paul asked whether he
is “the
God of the Jews...and of the Gentiles?”
where we read:
The
verse begins, “Is
he
the God of the Jews only?”
Paul began with the words, “is
he the God”
which means “Is God the Godhead and trinity which is comprised of
God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “of
the Jews”
or “people who belong to the Jewish nation as respects to birth,
origin and religion” “only”
which means “solely and alone”? Paul rhetorically asked whether
“God” was “the God” of the people belonging to the Jewish
nation only.
The
verse continues, “is
he
not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:”
Paul
added the words, “is
he not also”
or “is God not, by no means and not at all” “of
the Gentiles”
which means “of the multitude associated, living together, of the
same nature or genus who are heathen or foreign to the Jewish
nation”? “Yes”
or “verily, truly, assuredly and even so”, “of
the Gentiles”
which refers to “the multitude associated, living together, of the
same nature or genus who are heathen or foreign to the Jewish nation”
“also”
or “even so and indeed”. Paul declared “God”
to the “the
God of the Gentiles”
as well as the “God
of the Jews”.
When
we meditate upon these words of Paul, we see how God made Himself
available to all people regardless of whether they are “Jews or
Gentiles”. Everyone may receive “salvation” through God's
Son Jesus Christ for the “forgiveness” of “sins”, and since
He is available to all, let everyone who reads these words know they
have ample opportunity to receive Him as their “Savior and Lord”.
Next
time Paul tells the people in Rome,“it
it one God”
who
“shall
justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through
faith”,
so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until
tomorrow…there is more…
