None Understands or Seeks God Romans 3:11

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome, “There is none righteous, no, not one:” and in chapter three and verse eleven of Romans, Paul shared how, “there is none that understands...or seeks after God” where we read:

There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God

The verse begins, “There is none that understands,” Paul began with the words, “there is none” which means “there comes or exists not one certain person”, “that understands” which means “who has knowledge of those things which pertain to salvation”. Paul shared how no one has “knowledge of the available salvation of God”.

The verse goes on to say, “there is none that seeks after God” Paul added the words, “there is none” which means “there comes or exists not one certain person who is” “that seeks after” or “who searches, investigates and scrutinizes” “God” or “ the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Paul also declared every person did not “search for and investigate” God for themselves.

When we meditate upon these words of Paul, we see his continued reference to Psalm 14:2-4 and 53:2,4. No one, according to Paul, possessed or searched for knowledge of God and His salvation plan. In other words, everyone was busy about their own way and had no concern for God. Every person is “guilty” of the “sin” of ignorance of God and His way to be “saved”, and therefore, every person is in need of the “Savior” Jesus Christ. People who realize their need for God and His Son Jesus Christ may go to Him in prayer, ask for His forgiveness, repent of their sins and receive not only a relationship with Him, but also the promise of eternal life. May all who read these words both know and understand their need for God and His “salvation” plan.
