Justified by Faith and Peace with God Romans 5:1

Paul the apostle told the Jews in Rome concerning Abraham, “now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;”, and he added, “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed,
if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.” In chapter five and verse one of Romans, Paul shared how Jesus, “was delivered for our offenses”, and he was “raised up for our justification” where we read:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
The verse begins, Therefore being justified by faith, ...” Paul began with the word, “therefore” which refers to “then, accordingly, consequently and these things being so” “being justified” or “to render, show, exhibit and evince righteous or such as he ought to be” “by faith” which means “through or by means of the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things and the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ”. Paul began his conclusion with being “rendered righteous” through “belief and trust” in God.

The verse goes on to say, ... we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:Paul added the words, “we have peace” which means “Paul, his companions and his readers hold, own and possess tranquility, harmony and concord” “with God” or “with the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit” “through our” which means “by way of Paul, his companions and his readers' ” “Lord” or “he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, and the title given to God the Messiah” “Jesus” whose name means “Jehovah is Salvation” and is “the Son of God, the Savior of mankind and God incarnate ” “Christ” or “the anointed One, the Messiah and the Son of God”. The result of “being justified by faith” is to have “tranquility and harmony” with God Almighty because of the “Lord Jesus” who is the “Christ” or Messiah.

When we think through these words of Paul, we see the benefit to having “faith and trust” in God's promise through Jesus. Because Jesus paid the price for the “sins” of everyone, we may now “believe” in His finished work and have “peace with God”. This was and is God's plan, and those who “trust in, rely upon and cling to” His Son Jesus may be “justified” or “accounted righteous” and in a position to be in “harmony” with Him.

Next time we see Paul tell the people in Rome how,we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
