The apostle John wrote how Jesus prayed to His Father God, “I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them to me; and they have kept your word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you. For I have given unto them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours”, and in chapter seventeen and verse ten of his book John shared how Jesus prayed to His Father God about His disciples, “all mine are yours” where we read:
And all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them.
The verse reads, “And all mine are yours, and yours are mine;” John began with Jesus' words, “and all mine are yours” which means “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the disciples that are mine, Jesus', exists as God the Heavenly Father's”, “and yours are mine” or “and yours, the Heavenly Father God's exist as mine, Jesus'”. John shared how Jesus acknowledged to His Heavenly Father God that every one of His disciples were His, and His disciples were Jesus'.
The verse continues, “and I am glorified in them.” John added Jesus' words, “and I am glorified” or “and I, Jesus, exist as extolled, honored, magnified and celebrated” “in them” which means “within Jesus' disciples”. John shared how Jesus told His Heavenly Father God that He was “honored and celebrated” within His disciples.
When we consider John's words in this verse, we learn how there is a direct relationship with the disciples of Jesus and His Father God. Jesus was “honored and celebrated” within the lives of His “students, pupils and attendants”, and He continues to be “magnified” in the lives of those who yield their lives to Him today. God's desire is to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus, and when they surrender their lives to Him, He will forgive their sins and grant them everlasting life as well as provide them with a day to day personal walk with them. Those who carefully consider Jesus' words should yield their lives to Him and enjoy an everlasting and eternal life relating to Him.
Next time John shares how Jesus prays, “now I am no more in the world”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
