In Psalms chapter eighty four the Psalmist said to Jehovah God, “Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them”, and in chapter eighty four and verse six of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well” where we read,
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also fills the pools.
The verse begins, “Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well;” The Psalmist began with the words, “who passing through the valley” or “who, the person who is blessed by Jehovah God's strength, journeys through the vale, lowland or open country” “of Baca” which means “belonging to Baca whose name means weeping and was a valley in Palestine” “make it a well” or “set, appoint, fix and constitute the valley of Baca to exist as a spring, fountain or source of satisfaction”. The Psalmist shared how the “O how happy” person who depends upon Jehovah God's power travels through the “Baca” vale and causes it to become a spring or fountain of satisfaction.
The verse continues, “the rain also fills the pools.” The Psalmist added the words, “the rain also” or “the early rain even so and indeed” “fills the pools” which means “covers, enwraps and envelopes the place of prosperity, blessings, gifts and presents”. The Psalmist shared how the early rain envelopes the place of prosperity, blessings and presents.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist declares the person who depends upon the strength of Jehovah God causes the “valley of Baca” which belonged to the people of Palestine to prosper. God desires to have a blessed personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and cause even those surrounding us to be blessed by our presence. God loves us, and we are blessed by Him when we surrender to Him.
Next time the Psalmist says, “they go from strength to strength”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
