The Heavens Shall Praise God's Wonders - Psalms 89:5

In Psalms eighty nine the Psalmist Ethan shared how Jehovah God said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, your seed will I establish for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah”, and in chapter eighty nine and verse five of Psalms Ethan said, “the heavens shall praise your wonders” where we read,

And the heavens shall praise your wonders, O LORD:

your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

The verse begins, And the heavens shall praise your wonders, O LORD: Ethan began with the words, “and the heavens” or “and the visible universe, sky, atmosphere and abode of God” “shall praise” which means “will give thanks, laud and worship” “your wonders” or “your, Jehovah God's, extraordinary marvels and marvelous miracles”, “O LORD” which means “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. Ethan shared how the sky, atmosphere and abode of Jehovah God give Him praise and honor for His marvelous miracles and deeds.

The verse continues, your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. Ethan added the words, “your faithfulness also” or “your, firmness, fidelity, steadfastness and steadiness even so and indeed” “in the congregation” which means “within the company, assembly and organized body” “of the saints” or “pertaining to the sacred, holy and set apart ones”. Ethan shared how Jehovah God's steadfastness and stability was indeed within the assembly of his sacred ones.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how Ethan not only made a declaration concerning the worship and thanks given to Jehovah God for His marvelous acts and deeds, but also how His steadfastness and fidelity was within the gathering of His sacred and holy ones. God wants people to acknowledge Him and His works, and He desires for us to know that He is a faithful God especially when we gather with fellow believers. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be a part of His family who praise Him for His “faithfulness” as we gather together.

Next time Ethan asks, “who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
