The Man Whose Strength is in God - Psalms 84:5

In Psalms chapter eighty four the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “Blessed are they that dwell in your house: they will be still praising you. Selah.”, and in chapter eighty four and verse five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Blessed is the man whose strength is in you”, where we read,

Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them.

The verse begins, Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; The Psalmist began with the words, “Blessed is the man” or “O how happy exists the person whether male or female” “whose strength is in you” which means “whose boldness, might and power exists within you, Jehovah God”. The Psalmist said the person whose power, might and boldness exists within Jehovah God is O how happy and prosperous.

The verse continues,in whose heart are the ways of them. The Psalmist added the words, “in whose heart” or “within whose inner man, mind, will, soul, knowledge, thinking, reflection, memory, inclination, resolution, determination, conscience and seat of emotions and passions” “are the ways of them” which means “exist within the pilgrimage of the people who rely upon Jehovah God's strength and desire His temple”. The Psalmist added that the souls and minds of the people who were “blessed” were affected by their pilgrimage to the sacred worship place.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist declared people who rely upon Jehovah God's power rather than their own exist as “O how happy”, and their souls reflect their passionate desire to be within the sacred worship place of Him. God wants people to have fellowship and communion with Him, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind so this could be. When we yield our lives to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and put within us a passion to meet Him in His sacred worship places where we may give honor, praise and glory unto Him.

Next time Asaph declares, “Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
