There is None Like Jehovah God - Psalms 86:8

In Psalms chapter eighty six David said, “In the day of my trouble I will call upon you: for you will answer me”, and in chapter eighty six and verse eight of Psalms David said, “among the gods there is none like unto you” where we read,

Among the gods there is none like unto you, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto your works.

The verse begins, “Among the gods there is none like unto you, O Lord;” David began with the words, “among the gods” or “in the company, group or number of the rulers, judges, angels and divine ones” “there is none like unto you” which means “there exists not one person or god like unto you, Jehovah God”, “O LORD” or “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David told Jehovah God there was no other ruler, judge or divine being that could be compared to Him.

The verse continues, “neither are there any works like unto your works.” David added the words, “neither are there any works” or “no and not in any way does there exist business, deeds, acts and labors” “like unto your works” which means “similar and in likeness to your, Jehovah God's, business, deeds, acts and labors”. David said there existed no business, deeds or acts like unto Jehovah God's.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David declared there was no one who existed that is in likeness to Jehovah God, and no one is able to perform the acts and deeds that He does. God is superior to everyone, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with people through His Son Jesus. When we yield our lives to Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and show us His superiority to everyone and everything else.
