From Strength to Strength - Psalms 84:7

In Psalms chapter eighty four the Psalmist said to Jehovah God, “Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also fills the pools”, and in chapter eighty four and verse seven of Psalms the Psalmist said, “they go from strength to strength” where we read,

They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appears before God.

The verse begins, They go from strength to strength, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “they go from strength” or “the people whose have Jehovah God as their power and might proceed, depart and move toward power, might and boldness” “to strength” which means “to power, might and boldness”. The Psalmist shared how the people who were “blessed” because their “strength” was found in Jehovah God continue to grow in their power, might and boldness.

The verse goes on to say,... every one of them in Zion appears before God. The Psalmist continued with the words, “every one of them” or “each, the whole and all of the people whose strength was in Jehovah God” “in Zion” which means “within Zion whose name means parched place and was another name for Jerusalem especially in the prophetic books” “appears before God” or “is seen, perceived, has vision and consideration of the front and the presence of the Divine ruler, judge and Supreme God”. The Psalmist shared how all the people who find their “strength” in Jehovah God shall be seen in the presence of Him.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see the Psalmist share how the people who have their “strength” in Jehovah God not only are “blessed” in their lives and journeys, but also grow stronger and stronger as they live within the vision of Him. God is strong, capable and willing to have a personal intimate relationship with every person through His Son Jesus whom He sent into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us to grow in “strength” as we make our way in His presence.

Next time the Psalmist says, “O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
