God's Mighty Arm - Psalms 89:13

In Psalms eighty nine Ethan the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours: as for the world and the fullness thereof, you have founded them. The north and the south you have created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name”, and in chapter eighty nine and verse thirteen of Psalms Ethan said, “you have a mighty arm” where we read,

You have a mighty arm: strong is your hand, and high is your right hand.

The verse begins, “You have a mighty arm:” Ethan began with the words, “you have” or “you, Jehovah God, hold, own and possess” “a mighty arm” which means “a strong, brave and victorious forearm and shoulder”. Ethan declared Jehovah God to have a powerful and strong forearm and shoulder.

The verse continues, “strong is your hand, and high is your right hand.” Ethan added the word, “strong” or “prevailing, firm and impudent” “is your hand” which means “exists, your, Jehovah God's, strength, power, part and portion”, “and high” or “and exalted, lofty, raised and uplifted” “is your right hand” which means “exists your, Jehovah God's, right hand which represents force, authority and power”. Ethan shared how Jehovah God's powerful and authoritative “right hand” was lifted up and exalted.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how Ethan spoke of the power and authority of Jehovah God, and He magnified God's strength and ability. God rules and reigns over His creation, and He desires to have a personal intimate relationship with every person. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and encourage us to acknowledge His power, might and authority over every situation and circumstance we encounter.

Next time Psalmist says to Jehovah God, “justice and judgment are the habitation of your throne”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
