The LORD in His Holy Temple - Psalms 11:4

Psalms chapter eleven begins with David saying, “In the LORD put I my trust: how say you to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”, and in Psalms chapter eleven and verse four David said, “The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven where we read,

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven:

his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

The verse begins, The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven:” David began with the words, “The LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is in his holy temple” or “exists within his, Jehovah God's, sacred, set apart, separated and dedicated palace, nave and sanctuary”, “the LORD's throne” which means “the seat of honor, royal dignity, authority and power belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is in heaven” or “exists within the sky, atmosphere and celestial air”. David declared Jehovah God's seat of authority and power to be within the celestial atmosphere.

The verse continues, his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.David added the words, “his eyes behold” or “his, Jehovah God's mental and spiritual faculties see, observe and gaze upon”, “his eyelids try” which means “Jehovah God's morning ray or dawning likened unto a fluttering eyelash examine, prove and make trial of”, “the children of men” or “the youths, whelps, grandsons, firstborn, offspring and posterity belonging to mankind both male and female”. David wrote how the “eyes” and “eyelids” of Jehovah God test and prove people and their offspring.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn from David not only about Jehovah God's position of authority, but also His observance of mankind. God sees; God knows, and He is aware of both the good and the bad people commit. He “tries” or “proves” them with “trials, testings and tribulations” to reveal what is within them, and when He does, that which is truly within us is exposed. Jehovah God knew people were “sinners” as Paul the apostle wrote, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (See Romans 3:23), and because this is true, mankind and their offspring needed a “Savior”. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of everyone, and when we yield our lives to Jesus Christ as our “Lord and Savior”, He will forgive our sins, cleanse us from all unrighteousness and grant us everlasting life. Because Jehovah God's “sees”, we can be assured that He loves us so much He cannot take His eyes off us and desires that we live with Him forever.

Next time David says, The LORD tries the righteous, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
