In Psalms chapter seventy-seven Asaph said, “The voice of your thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook”, and in chapter seventy-seven and verse nineteen of Psalms Asaph said, “your way is in the sea” where we read,
Your way is in the sea, and your path in the great waters, and your footsteps are not known.
The verse begins, “Your way is in the sea, and your path in the great waters, ...” Asaph began with the words, “your way is in the sea” or “your, Jehovah God's, manner, direction and course of life exists within the large bodies of water such as the Mediterranean, Red and Dead seas”, “and your path” which means “and your, Jehovah God's, track as if flowing along exists” “in the great waters” or “within the strong, abounding and exceedingly full waters such as the oceans”. Asaph said Jehovah God's manner, direction, course of life and track is revealed within the “seas” and the abounding bodies of water such as the oceans.
The verse continues, “... and your footsteps are not known.” Asaph added the words, “and your footsteps” or “and your, Jehovah God's, heels, footprints and hinder parts” “are not known” which means “do not exist as perceived, found out, discerned, discriminated and distinguished”. Asaph also shared how Jehovah God's footprints are not discerned.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through Asaph how Jehovah God employs the use of the great bodies of water in the world to demonstrate His manner and course even while His “footsteps” are hidden. God does not share everything with us, but He has shared that we may have a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender ourselves to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and reveal Himself and His ways according to His Divine purpose and will.
Next time Asaph says to Jehovah God, “you led your people like a flock”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
