In Psalms chapter sixty nine David said, “Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap”, and in chapter sixty-nine and verse twenty-three of Psalms David said, “let their eyes be darkened” where we read,
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
The verse begins, “Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not;” David began with the words, “let their eyes” or “allow and permit the physical eyes of their, David's hating foes and adversaries” “be darkened” which means “exist as dim, hidden, concealed and confused”, “that they see not” or “so the, David's hating foes and adversaries, are unable to look at, inspect, perceive, consider and have vision”. David wanted Jehovah God to blind the eyes and perception of his hating foes and adversaries.
The verse continues, “and make their loins continually to shake.” David added the words, “and make their loins” or “and cause their, David's hating foes and enemies', waist and the small of the back” “continually to shake” which means “perpetually and constantly totter, slide and waver”. David wanted Jehovah God to cause the bodies of his enemies to totter and waver.
When we meditate upon words in this verse, we see how David turned his enemies over to Jehovah God. He wanted God to permit their vision and perception to be obscure, and their bodies to totter and quiver perpetually. David knew he could take his concerns to Jehovah God because God loved him. God loves everyone, and when He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind, He demonstrated His love toward us. (See Romans 5:8) When we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and defend us against our enemies whenever they rise up against us.
Next time David says, “pour out your indignation upon them”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
