My Mouth Showing God's Righteousness and Salvation - Psalms 71:15

In Psalms chapter seventy-one David said to Jehovah God, “I will hope continually, and will yet praise you more and more”, and in chapter seventy-one and verse fifteen of Psalms David said, “My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation” where we read,

My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day;

for I know not the numbers thereof.

The verse begins, My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day; David began with the words, “my mouth” or “my, David's, orifice in the face used for drinking, eating and speaking” “shall show forth your righteousness” which means “will declare, account, commune, tell and reckon your, Jehovah God's, justice, rightness, truthfulness, justification and prosperity” “and your salvation” or “and your, Jehovah God's, deliverance, rescue, safety and victory” “all the day” which means “in each, every, the whole and the totality of the twenty four hour division of time”. David said he would employ his “mouth” to declare and tell of Jehovah God's justice and deliverance throughout the “day”.

The verse continues,for I know not the numbers thereof. David added the words, “for I know not” or “because, since and on account that I, David, do not perceive, discern, see or recognize” “the numbers thereof” which means “the numeration of the days in which David would be alive”. David said he was unaware of the amount of days he would live.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David determined to use his voice to tell others about the justice and deliverance of Jehovah God every day. David said he did not perceive how many days he would be alive, so he was determined to used every day to speak of God's benefits. No one knows the “number of their days”, however, we are taught in the scriptures, “teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (See Psalm 90:12). God knows how long we shall be alive on earth, and He is aware of the fact that our spirits will live on forever. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified for our sins so we may live eternally with Him. When we believe and trust in Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us to tell others about His “salvation” and “deliverance” throughout our numbered days upon the earth.

Next time David says, “I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
