In Psalms chapter sixty nine David said, “the LORD hears the poor, and despises not his prisoners”, and in chapter sixty-nine and verse thirty-four of Psalms David said, “let the heaven and earth praise him” where we read,
Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moves therein.
The verse begins, “Let the heaven and earth praise him, ...” David began with the words, “let the heaven” or “allow and permit the visible sky, atmosphere and universe” “and earth” which means “and the country, territory, region and world” “praise him” or “shine, flash forth, be boastful and celebrate him, the Divine judge Jehovah God”. David wanted both the “heaven and earth” to celebrate and honor Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “... the seas, and every thing that moves therein.” David continued with the words, “the seas” or “the large bodies of waters such as the Mediterranean, Red and Dead Seas”, “and every thing” which means “and the whole of anything in totality” “that moves therein” or “that creeps, crawls, walks about and glides within the seas”. David called upon the large bodies of water and anything within them to join the “heavens and earth” in giving “praise, honor and glory” to Jehovah God.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David called upon all of God's creation to worship Him. God made the universe and everything within it. He wants all people to yield themselves to His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord” so they can fully appreciate who He is and what He has done. Jesus came into the world to be crucified for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life with Him and join the heaven, earth, seas and everything within them in praise and honor to Jehovah God.
Next time David says, “for God will save Zion”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
