Only Jesus Saw the Father - John 6:46

The apostle John wrote how Jesus told the people looking for Him, “No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me”, and in chapter six and verse forty-six of his book, John shared how Jesus told the people, “not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of God” where we read:

Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of God, he has seen the Father.

The verse reads,Not that any man has seen the Father, ...”. John began with the words, “not that any man” or “no and not in any way has a person whether male or female” “has seen the Father” which means “has observed, notice, discovered and discerned God the Heavenly Father”. John shared how Jesus said no one has actually “seen” “God the Father.

The verse continues, “... save he which is of God, he has seen the Father.” John added the words, “save he which is of God” which means “except the person whether male or female who is from and separated from God the Father”, “he has seen the Father” or “that person whether male or female has observed, noticed, discovered and discerned God the Father”. John shared how Jesus said only He Himself who was dispatched by God had “seen” Him.

When we think through John's words in this verse, we learn how nobody has seen the “fullness” of God the Father except for Jesus the Son whom God sent. Jesus was God come in the flesh, and when He left the “Heavenly region” to be with people, He did so while knowing exactly what God the Father is like. God loves people, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with every one through His Son Jesus. Those who seek “Father God” may know Jesus revealed Him, and because He knew Him personally, Jesus gave to mankind a representation of what God is like.

Next time John shares how Jesus tells the people, “he that believes on me has everlasting life”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
