Psalms one hundred begins with the heading, “[[A Psalm of praise.]]” which breaks down, “A Psalm” or “a poem or melody put to notes” “of praise” which means “pertaining to confession, thanksgiving and adoration”, and in chapter one hundred and verse one of Psalms the Psalmist said, “make a joyful noise unto the LORD” where we read,
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all you lands.
The verse begins, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “make a joyful noise” or “fashion, produce and raise a triumphant and gleeful sound, shout and blast” “unto the LORD” which means “to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist called upon his readers and listeners to cry out and raise a joyful sound unto Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “... all you lands.” The Psalmist continued with the word, “all” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of” “you lands” which means “the countries, territories and regions of the world”. The Psalmist instructed everyone in the world to “make a joyful noise” unto Jehovah God.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist said everyone in the world should sound a triumphant “noise” unto Jehovah God. God is to be praised, honored and adored, and anyone who comes to know and believe that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for their sins, should worship and raise a gleeful sound to Him. God created us, gave us life and breath and has supplied “salvation” from our sins through Jesus. Jehovah God and His Son Jesus are worthy of our praise, honor and adoration throughout eternity.
Next time the Psalmist says, “serve the LORD with gladness”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
