Neither the Man Nor the Parents Sinned - John 9:3

The apostle John wrote,as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?, and in chapter nine and verse three of his book John shared how Jesus said, “Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents” where we read:

Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents:

but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

The verse reads, “Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: John began with the words, “Jesus answered” which means “the Son of God, the Savior of mankind and God incarnate whose name means Jehovah is Salvation responded and began to speak”, “Neither has this man sinned” or “nor yet or not even has this male human being missed the mark, erred, made a mistake violated the law of God”, “nor his parents” which means “no not in any way the blind man's immediate progenitors and ancestors”. John shared how Jesus told His “disciples” that the “blind man” nor his “parents” had violated the law of God.

The verse continues, “but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. John added the words, “but that the works of God” which means “nevertheless, notwithstanding, yes, rather and moreover so the business, employment, undertaking, enterprise, acts and deeds belonging to the Godhead bodily and trinity which is comprised of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit”, “should be made manifest” or “are to be visible, realized and exposed” “in him” which means “within the blind man”. John shared how Jesus told His “disciples” the reason the man was “blind” was for “God's acts and deeds” to be made known and exposed through him.

When we meditate upon John's words in this verse, we learn the reason Jesus said this man was “born blind” - so His “Heavenly Father God's” acts might be revealed. God has His purpose and plan for every person, and this man, though visually impaired, was going to be an example of God's ability and willingness to work among and with people. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to be the “Savior and Lord” of mankind, and anyone who believes and trusts in Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life. He healed and cured physical maladies within people to demonstrate the “works of God” through Himself, and that He is indeed the “Christ” and “Messiah” of God.

Next time John shares how Jesus says, “I must work the works of him that sent me”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
